This camp focuses on developing skating, puck control and puck protection skills in small areas of the ice and then applying those skills in different types of small area games. Sessions will begin with 10-15 minutes of skill development focused on improving these facets of the game, before jumping into different types of small area games to put those skills to work.

Skill RequirementsThis camp is open to players of all skill levels. Players must be able to stand and propel themselves around the ice on their own.

The Small Area Games Camp will feature the following:

  • 50 minutes per day of on-ice skill development.
  • Station work focused on all-around player development, featuring work on skating, shooting, puck control and passing.
  • Small area games used to emphasize the skills learned earlier in the session while also focus on the development of tactics, decision making and hockey sense in a fun and competitive environment.

Please note that we will have at least one bilingual instructor with each camp group at the Richcraft Sensplex to accommodate all participants.
