Develop the skills and reaction-time needed to dominate the game through individual station work and specialized small area games in this BRAND NEW camp designed to be more fun than any camp we’ve ever hosted! Players will be pushed to execute skills in challenging conditions and at maximum speeds, while competing with and against their fellow players.
The Small Area Games Camp will feature the following:
Three hours of daily on-ice skill development with station-work and small area games used to teach individual skills, tactics, and hockey sense in a fun and competitive environment.
Small Area Games (SAG’s) are widely considered to be one of the best ways to teach and improve hockey sense and game play.
By forcing players to demonstrate skill in smaller areas, their development will be fast-tracked by increasing puck touches and situational repetitions.
Classroom sessions will cover a variety of topics including small area tactics.
Goalies will receive teaching from qualified instructors on the technical aspect of goaltending for the first third of each ice session before being involved in drills and stations run with live shooters.
Please note that we will have at least one bilingual instructor with each camp group at the Richcraft Sensplex to accommodate all participants.
