Michael Xhignesse 

Michael is currently a full-time Head Hockey Instructor with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs; responsible for leading skill development sessions from players taking their first strides, right through our most elite level athletes at all three Sensplex facilities. He works extensively training competitive players in OSHP Power Edge Pro sessions and has been a lead for the Little Sens Selects, Little Sens Learn 2 Play, and Bauer First Shift programs where having ad advanced ability to each fundamental skills is a must.
He worked as an advanced skills instructor with all SSHD AAA athletes in the inaugural season of the program in 2019 and was been promoted to the role of Team Head Coach and Lead Skills Instructor for the 2020 season.
After playing competitive hockey growing up, “Xhiggy” is extremely excited for the opportunity to share his passion to help set our youngest SSHD athletes up with an extremely fun, positive and hard-working start to their many years of development our club.
As a Team Head Coach for our SSHD AAA teams, he is responsible for leading tactical practices, classroom sessions and all games during our competitive half-ice tournaments. He will have the exciting task of teaching our young players the concepts they need to be competitive players in the future.
