Skill RequirementsTo protect the competitive nature of this camp, all registrations are subject to review. This camp is restricted to players playing competitive hockey during the 2022-23 season or have been selected to a competitive roster for the 2023-2024 season

The Creating Time & Space Program will feature the following:

  • 50 minutes per day of on-ice skill development.
  • An ice-only program focusing on developing the skills needed to dominant the offensive zone. Sessions will focus on zone entries, separation from the wall, creating space in the offensive zone, puck protection and more.
  • This camp is designed for competitive players playing forward this season.

Please note that we will have at least one bilingual instructor with each camp group at the Richcraft Sensplex to accommodate all participants. 

LEAD PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR

Tyler Druce

Tyler was born in the small town of Grenville-sur-la Rouge, Quebec, where he played competitively at the AA and AAA level before transferring over to Ontario to continue to play Tier 2 Junior A and Junior C. After playing competitively for 20 years, he took his on ice experience and reconstructed it into a coaching role with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs. Tyler is currently the full-time Head Hockey Instructor and Player Development Specialist at the Sensplex Facilities, where he aids in developing lesson plans and leads sessions starting from the Intro 2 Hockey level all the way up to the most competitive players who attend our programs. Additionally, he will be coaching multiple SSHD AAA teams next spring. While often given a leadership role while playing, Tyler ensures that he takes his skills and tools and translates it into his sessions by creating immersive, hardworking, upbeat and most of all fun practices to maximize the development of his players.
