Looking for some extra skill development this Hockey season? The Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs are excited to offer a variety of single session Pop Up Skill Development clinics. The types of clinics may vary from beginner classes such as Intro 2 Hockey and IP Fundamentals to recreational classes like Shooting & Puck Control and Performance & Power Skating. | Program Information: The Intro 2 Hockey program is designed to teach fundamental hockey skills to your son or daughter, in order to ensure they are ready for their first year of hockey. Each player will receive instruction that will increase their confidence on the ice and familiarize them with all aspects of the game. Our lesson plans are designed to be FUN for all participants and feature great instructor-to-participant ratios in order to ensure proper support for all players! | |

| Program Information: The core focus of the program is an emphasis on proper skating technique, as players will work on developing the basic mechanisms of a strong and efficient skating stride and improving balance and agility. Instructors will also introduce the key concepts of passing, shooting, and maintaining puck control, in order to ensure well-rounded development. | |

| Program Information: On-ice sessions will focus on the key skills of backwards skating (quick starts, crossunders and speed control), pivots, transitions, lateral mobility, evasive maneuvers, keep-ins, quick-release shooting, first-passes, decision-making, shooting` and passing in-motion, and making plays under pressure. | |

| Program Information: Develop the tools to dominant the offensive zone and capitalize on your offensive opportunities with the Advanced Scoring Program! This program is designed specifically for competitive caliber players. | |

All of our hockey programs require full equipment to be provided by the parent/guardian. No child shall participate without: Hockey skates, CSA- approved helmet (with cage), neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, jock or jill, shin pads, hockey gloves and a hockey stick. Mouth guards are optional.
