Power Edge Pro is an on-ice player development system utilizing propriety equipment and training patterns. The system focuses on Reactive Countering Training; engaging multiple motor skills simultaneously to develop a player’s performance. All patterns are completed while maintaining puck control and are designed to provide 5x as many repetitions as standard drill based practices, leading to faster development of elite skills. Each PEP session will focus on reinforcing proper puck control mechanics and body position for each player with added resistance from PEP training systems.

Key details

  • Major Novice to Bantam (2005 – 2011)
  • Open to all players, however they must possess above average fundamental skills for their level of play. PEP is an advanced and challenging training system which is not intended for players still learning basic skating and puck control techniques.
  • For 2011 born players, they must play at the Tier I or II level of Major Novice hockey
  • Cost: $450 (discounted rate for 10 sessions) / or $50 (drop-in rate)

Note: ALL sessions (including PEP Elite, Advanced, and Open) will be run to accommodate even the most advanced players. Each session will see players grouped by ability and they may progress at different rates within the same ice surface. Therefore, it is NOT necessary for a Tier I or II player to be restricted exclusively to PEP Elite sessions. All players must meet the minimum level of play for each PEP category and be capable of demonstrating a high level of focus and effort.

Drop in arrangements are available. To drop-in for a session, please register online under the “DROP” option for your specified division/date (drop-in options are subject to limited availability). Participants are also able to register online while the course is in progress, as the online amount will continuously be updated to reflect the pro-rated cost for the remaining sessions (should space be available.) Please email or call us at [email protected] or 613-599-0222 with any questions.

This program is open to most players. Players will be split into smaller groups on the ice with players of similar skill to ensure proper development for all.
