Our inaugural Holmes and Hockey program Development Program is now being offered this March Break! The week long program will provide competitive players with a combination of what they need (elite level speed & edge training) and what they want (sticks on pucks, hockey specific development) over the course of a 60 min session. Girls only session will be split from the co-ed session on ice!

Skill Level Requirements: This program is restricted to players playing competitive hockey during the 2023-24 season.

The session will feature advanced level skating development with Ashley Holmes paired with advanced level hockey development led by Jake Bullen and his best instructors. This program is restricted to competitive level players between the ages of 2008 – 2012 who are currently on a competitive minor hockey team in the 2023-2024 season.

Ashley Holmes: A certified power skating coach with the passion and skills to drive elite athletes to success. She is a former competitive figure skater who competed at the National Championship level, and an NCCP 1 and NCCP 2 qualified coach. Using the biomechanics of figure skating, Ashley harnesses the technique, balance, glide, and fundamentals of skating to get hockey players to the next level. Pushing players to their limits to increase speed, agility, and reaction based skating. 

Jake Bullen: Hailing from Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia, Jake is the current Head of Hockey Development for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs; responsible for planning and leading ice sessions for thousands of players from the beginner to elite levels. He is also in charge of training and developing OSHP instructional staff. Jake works primarily with competitive and elite athletes in our high performance programs, including HPP, SSHD AAA, and other highly touted OSHP development programs. Jake is also the Head Skills Coach for Sens Elite Development which oversees the Myers Automotive AAA Hockey Development Program and Eastern Ontario Wild AAA Hockey Development Program; operating weekly throughout the 23-24 season at the Bell & Richcraft Sensplex.
