Category: IP Initiation – All Levels (Saturday)
Cost: $513.27 + HST ($580.00 total)
HEO Minor Sanction #: 23-008
The Ottawa Senators, Bell Sensplex, and Kanata Minor Hockey Association are proud to present this fun-filled weekend for initiation-aged players and their families, at our state-of-the-art four-pad facility. All participants will receive an Ottawa Senators CHAMPIONS medal.
Bring your players and their families out to enjoy some fun hockey in a warm and inviting environment and a day that will be a truly memorable experience for all! The weekend will also feature games and activities for children set up in our 20,000 sq foot indoor fieldhouse.
In its first 18 years, this event has seen over 850 teams participate, and we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and fun atmosphere for young players to learn Canada’s game.
One Qualified IP Instructor from each team will be expected to take to the ice in order to help Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs staff organize the split-ice scrimmages. If instructors are unavailable, please let us know as soon as possible.
The standard for IP Fun Days is for teams to play without goaltenders. Teams that wish to dress goalies should have equipment ready and consult with their scrimmaging partner prior to the game. If both teams do not have a goaltender in full equipment, neither team will be permitted to dress a goaltender. (Efforts will be made to match teams with goaltenders.)
Please note that parking at the Sensplex will be limited, as participation at this event exceeds our parking lot capacity. A satellite parking lot will be made available for the duration of the weekend (directions will be sent to the team contact prior to the tournament). Street parking around the Sensplex is prohibited and may result in a ticket from the City of Ottawa. The Sensplex strongly encourages teams to arrange carpools to their IP Fun Day.
