This 6th annual edition of the Capital Gold Rush Tournament presented by the Gloucester Rangers will be headquartered at the state-of-the-art 4-pad Richcraft Sensplex with some games played at the Bell Sensplex (Official practice facility of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators), where parents can enjoy the action from the comfort of Stanley’s Restaurant above at both venues. The Gloucester Rangers have long been one of the finest competitive hockey clubs in the Ottawa region; each year boasting division champions and many of the strongest teams in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The Ottawa Senators organization has partnered with the Rangers to offer tier I and II teams the opportunity for a first class event at the newest and best facility anywhere for tournaments. We quite simply can’t wait to welcome your team to this exciting tournament!

*NEW* NOVICE TIER I DIVISION FORMAT:
With Hockey Canada’s switch to half-ice hockey for Novice aged players, we are excited to announce our new format for the Novice division at the Capital Gold Rush. Novice teams will play three half-ice scrimmage style games per Hockey Canada’s implementation guide, played in hour-long gameblocks, with no score kept. Novice teams will also participate in two, hour-long competitive skills competitions. Overall skills competition winners will receive our incredible Sensplex signature medals and trophies. While HC guidelines do not permit scores to be kept in games, our competitive skills competitions will featuring a scoring system and several events designed to reward exceptional skills, compete levels, and scoring ability.
All Novice scrimmages will be played on surfaces separated by professional rinkboard stlye dividers, ideally suited to turn one NHL-sized surface into two.

All teams MUST be prepared to start as early as 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20th.
While the Richcraft Sensplex is the headquarters for this event, some teams may play games at other local facilities.
