The Senators Elite Hockey Development (SEHD) Advanced Individual Skills & Tactics program offers a weekly development program strictly for AAA caliber players. Each week players will work with SEHD Coaches on individual skill development and game tactics aimed at enhansing their development throughout the season. Sessions will focus on the following skills:

  • Executing with pace.
  • Elite-level skating, stride, agility, explosiveness, transitions.
  • Angling, checking and compete.
  • Shot selection, off-balance shooting, shooting in stride and quick-releace shooting.
  • Playing in tight spaces, creating seperation and puck protection.
  • And more.

Program Restrictions:This program is restricted to elite players, registrations will be reviewed. All AAA players are guaranteed acceptance, with select AA players allowed pending review.

Cost & Registration

The SEHD Advanced Individual Skills & Tactics program features a drop-in registration format where AAA & AA players can build a schedule that works best for them. Players can register for single, five or 10 session packs this fall.

Goaltenders will receive shots from live shooters throughout the session. There is no individual goaltending instruction in these sessions. 

Our Coaches

Jake Bullen

Hailing from Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia, Jake is the current Head of Hockey Development for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs; responsible for planning and leading ice sessions for thousands of players from the beginner to elite levels. He is also in charge of training and developing OSHP instructional staff. Jake works primarily with competitive and elite athletes in our high performance programs, including HPP, SSHD AAA, SEHD HP Mentorship Camp and other highly touted. Jake is also the Head Skills Coach for Sens Elite Development which oversees the Myers Automotive AAA Development Program & Eastern Ontario Wild AAA Development Program; operating weekly throughout the 24-25 season at the Bell Sensplex.

Marcus Quinlin

Marcus is an HP1 Certified hockey coach, who has recently the role of Head Hockey Instructor. Marcus is from Niagara Falls, where he was a Head Coach within the southern Tier Admirals organization – having recently coached their U18 AAA and U15 AAA teams this past season. Marcus is a former U-Sports hockey player, playing for the Royal Military College of Canada. Marcus is also a former OHL Draft pick, being selected by the Windsor Spitfires in the 2007 Draft.
