Senators Elite Hockey Development
High Performance Training Program

The Senators Elite Hockey Development (SEHD) Program are excited to announce the inaugural SEHD High Performance Training Program this spring. Work with our team of expert staff (full-time coaches, invited collaborators, and other leaders in their fields) for a 7-week high performance program featuring two (2) ice times each week, off-ice physical performance training and education, classroom sessions and two (2) tournaments, all beginning after AAA tryouts finish. All aspects are designed to provide 2013 & 2014-born elite-level players with a foundation of the skills, tactics, awareness/hockey IQ, and habits needed for maximum development and in-game success as they rise through their AAA hockey careers and beyond.

2013 SEHD High Performance Training Program

Program Features

  • 17.5 hours of ice time over the course of 7 weeks through individual advanced skills & tactics sessions and team practices focusing on play conducive to high-performance levels of hockey.
  • All development ice taking place during the week, in the evenings and begin after AAA tryouts (May 12-end of June).
  • Off-ice workouts lead by Fiquest Inc., to take place immediately before or after an ice-time.
  • 7 classroom sessions lead by SEHD instructors designed to teach high performance habits and team tactics.
  • Game analysis with professional coaches during both the SSHD AAA Elite Invitational (June 13-15, Ottawa) and Showdown in the Windy City Tournament (May 29-June 1, Chicago, Illinois; including pre-tournament friendly game or team practice on-site in the Chicago region).
  • Access to THE most beneficial offseason training option for Tier I calibre players for less than $45 per development activity.

If you are interested in being considered, and are a AAA or AA players, please contact [email protected]. or complete the application above. Players capable of playing Tier I hockey will be evaluated by non-parent, professional high-performance coaches and notified of their status within three weeks of application.

2014 SEHD High Performance Training Program

Program Features

  • 14 ice sessions over the course of 7 weeks through individual advanced skills & tactics sessions and team practices focusing on play conducive to high-performance levels of hockey.
  • All development ice taking place during the week, in the evenings and begin after AAA tryouts (May 12-end of June)
  • Off-ice workouts lead by Fiquest Inc., to take place immediately before or after an ice-time.
  • 7 classroom sessions lead by SEHD instructors designed to teach high performance habits and team tactics.
  • Game analysis with professional coaches during both the SSHD AAA Elite Invitational (June 13-15, Ottawa) and Kings of Spring Tournament (May 23-26, Minneapolis Region, Minnesota; including May 22 pre-tournament practice and player meeting on-site in Minnesota)
  • Access to THE most beneficial offseason training option for Tier I calibre players for less than $45 per development activity.
