The Bantam/Midget Half Day Camp will feature the following:
Two hours of daily on-ice skill development consisting of high tempo drills designed to improve individual skills and conditioning, and competitive games.
Development will focus on performance skating, passing, shooting and puck control skills, along with time spent on game situation drills. Through error detection and correction, our instructors will focus on developing the skills needed to by all players at the Bantam and Midget age level.
A team atmosphere designed to make this camp enjoyable for “older” campers – engaging each player in building quick friendships with their fellow participants and counsellors, and challenging them to improve on the ice.
Off-ice activities that will include conditioning sessions led by elite instructors from FitQuest(Bell Sensplex) or Titan Performance Center (Richcraft Sensplex), with a focus on footwork, agility, and strength, and team sports that improve skills transferable to hockey.
Goalies will receive teaching from qualified instructors on the technical aspect of goaltending for the first third of each ice session before being involved in drills and stations run with live shooters.
Please note that we will have at least one bilingual instructor with each camp group at the Richcraft Sensplex to accommodate all participants.

START & END TIMES / PRE & POST-CAMP CARE
Stay tuned, the schedule for this half-day camp will be posted in the near future! We do not charge for pre or post camp care within the range of sign-in and sign-out times during that specific camp week and are happy to make accommodations for supervision for your child should you have other commitments. We ask that you notify us by email should you need to drop off your child early or pick him/her up late. Please note that early drop-off or late pick-up activities will not involve formal programming, but will feature supervision by camp staff.
