4 Game Guarantee (up to 6)


4 round robin games (or 3 round robin followed by guaranteed playoff game) plus playoffs. Pre-Novice/Novice/Atom (Girls U8/U10) will have 3 X 12 minutes stop time periods, Peewee/Bantam (Girls U12/U14) will have 2 X 12, 1 X 15 minute stop time periods. Pre-Novice, Novice, Atom, Minor Peewee & all Girls divisions will be non-checking. Major Peewee, Minor Bantam, and Major Bantam boys divisions will feature body checking. The 7th Annual Canada Day Cup powered by Sher-wood will be headquartered at the state-of-the-art Bell Sensplex (4-pad practice facility of the NHL's Ottawa Senators in west Ottawa), and the Richcraft Sensplex (brand new 4-pad facility in east Ottawa). The tournament will be played under (modified) International Ice Hockey rules. Important note regarding the Major Peewee division: Please note that bodychecking will be permitted at the Major Peewee level; however, all teams will be expected to have conducted a formal bodychecking clinic for their players. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe tournament for all of our teams.

IMPORTANT: Teams must be able to begin play at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 30th.

INSURANCE: Teams should have liability coverage for their organization and proof of Insurance will be required upon check-in.
