2017 CCHL U16 Prospects Camp

This camp is restricted to Major Bantam players (2002 birth year) who played at the AAA or AA level.

The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), in partnership with Capital Sports Management and Hockey Eastern Ontario, are pleased to announce the 7th Annual Elite Player Under-16 Camp will be taking place at the Richcraft Sensplex.

The goal of the camp is to provide players with an exceptional playing experience, as well as to act as an educational opportunity for young players and their families.

The camp will supply players & parents with information regarding career options for elite players, as well as a high-level, competitive tournament experience. All players will participate in four games over the weekend, providing each participant with exposure to all twelve Central Canada League teams.

Each participant will also attend a seminar outlining the details of the draft, the ability of Junior A hockey to act as a stepping stone in a player's career, as well as the importance of education when moving into Junior hockey.

The 2017 CCHL Tier 1 U16 Camp takes April 7-9, 2017 at the state-of-the-art Richcraft Sensplex in east Ottawa. All games at the Richcraft Sensplex, which opened its doors in August 2014, will take place on the featured Canadian Tire Arena, allowing spectators to watch the action from Stanley's Fresh Bar & Grill.

The cost of the camp is $205 which includes:

  • 4 guaranteed games for all players
  • CCHL camp jersey and matching socks
  • Seminars on the CCHL and other educational opportunities available to players
  • CCHL staff running the benches
  • The chance for players to be seen by coaches, scouts, and general managers from all CCHL teams

US Players: Please note that registration for out of country players will not be accepted any less than two weeks prior to the camp start date, due to the lengthy process required for form approval.

Central Development Hockey League

The second annual Central Development Hockey League takes place from May to June of 2016.  Players wishing to register can visit the CDHL website and register online.  The CDHL is operated by member teams and staff from the CCHL operate each team.  Players selected in the CCHL draft will be automatically assigned to that CDHL team, while undrafted players will be placed on rosters based on various criteria.  All players attending the CCHL U16 camp are guaranteed spots in the CDHL.  The season consists of eight weeks of games (16 games total), and eight practices, all in the eastern Ontario region. Teams are coached by CCHL personnel only. The cost for the entire program is $1750.
